Eastgate Village Hall

Eastgate is 3 miles west of Stanhope in Weardale.

The village has evidence of Roman habitation – a Roman Altar to Silvanus being discovered on the river banks. The name originates from its position at the eastern entrance, the prince Bishops’ Hunting Park.

Facilities

A very pleasant hall, sit in rural surroundings with a capacity.

Toilet facilities include a disabled toilet.

Separate kitchen equipped with range cooker, fridge, microwave, crockery & cutlery.

Square tables for 4 &upholstered stacking chairs.

 

Activities

The hall is mainly hired for village social events & private functions by people in the local area. Alpha meeting, young farmers club are currently meeting here. Whist drives are held monthly & domino drives less regular.

Public meetings & local elections.
