Unfortunately we had to say ‘farewell’ to Teesdale Community Network Co-ordinator, Carol Lewis last autumn. Carol is now working at Sunderland Council in a Project Development role. We wish her all the very best and thank her for the contribution she has made, to both the network and to 2D. Getting the network Funded is continuing to be problematic and discussions with the Teesdale LSP are being maintained.

The Community Network is an extension of the work that 2D undertakes as a CVS and it aims to bring together groups, organisations and individuals to work more effectively together, have a strong collective voice and provide a representative link to the statutory bodies and public sector.

So if you would like to make difference and influence key issues in Teesdale on housing, health, community safety, education & learning, economic development, tourism, leisure, culture either as an interested individual or as member of a community or voluntary group who works in a particular field please get in touch with the Network.

The Teesdale Partnership Exists!
The Teesdale Partnership is a 'Local Strategic Partnership' or LSP. The partnership was established to bring together individuals, groups and organisations from the private, public, community and voluntary sectors with a view to highlighting and prioritising local needs, to ensure local services support one another and work more closely and effectively.  

The Teesdale Partnership sees its role as voicing the needs and views of the community, in forming the vision and priorities for the local area, and setting the economic, social and environmental agenda for the district.
